Need evaluation: Elevated RDW is not that big a deal, as long as your hemoglobin level is normal. Low GFR is of concern in a person with lupus, as it is an indication of kidney disease. You need to be evaluated further to assess the extent of kidney disease as well as the symptoms you mentioned. Have lupus and now I am having tremors. Been told it's parkinsonism but could turn into Parkinson's is that true? Any idea how this effects my life?

Love the rumor mill: Saying that lupus tremors can become parkinson's disease is equivalent to people who talk about fat turning into muscle! it don't happen that way. Lupus is an autoimmune disease while pd is neurodegenerative. Doesn't mean you are protected from acquiring pd in the future but if you do be sure it was not due to the lupus. ...Read more
