Need more info.: These side effects more than likely will not abate until you either stop the Effexor (venlafaxine) or reduce the dose.. DO NOT do this until advised so by your physician. Alcohol withdrawal : It depends on the amount of alcohol you ingest as well as duration and tolerance. Anxiety and insomnia would be mild withdrawal symptoms and the other symptoms would suggest moderate withdrawal.
