I have had these lumps under my armpit for nearly 7 months. I was told it may be hidradenitis after consultation. Causes, treatment, prevention ?
I have had a hard painless lump under my armpit for about 8 months. I just noticed that it has gotten slightly larger. Should I be concerned?
Lump under left armpit, firm and moveable although feels attached. Had it since I was around 13 and is painless but if I keep touching it gets painful?
It could be...: If it has been there for so many years possibilities are: lipoma( fat benign mass), lymph node that has stayed enlarged, sebaceous cyst just to mention a few common ones. All these are not malignant. However you should get it checked in order to have a final diagnosis and if it needs removal. See your doctor for follow up on this. ...Read more
Hello I woke up this morning and was stretching I reached towards my right armpit and felt a little painless lump underneath my skin. ?
Lymph nodes?: This is most likely a normal lymph node. If it becomes tender or it is increasing in size I would see your doctor. If it moves around easily under the skin it probably a lymph node. If it seems to be stuck down and immobile this would be more concerning for a malignant process. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Have had a soft painless lump in my right armpit for several years size of a golf ball a smaller in my left armpit. neither has changed size ?
LymphNode v cyst v ?: While it's rare for lymph nodes to stay swollen for a long time, it's not impossible. Typically they're pain if acute. But best to go see your Family Doc for evaluation, testing & treatment as appropriat ...Read more

Try soaking it for 20 minutes or so, a couple times a day, to see if it comes to a head so you can get it to open up and drain. If it is red, tender, a doctor can open it for you. ...Read more
21female painless invisible lump on armpit, doesn't bother me to much been there for a few months can't see it but feel it what is it cancer?
I've found a soft lump on my back. It's approx 2 inches below and 2 inches across from my armpit. It's on my rib cage. It's also painless.
Lump: If the lump is on your back, i would think it is a cyst of some kind. If it is mobile (meaning you can move it side to side, up and down) and it's been there for a while unchanged, it sounds like a cyst, probably sebacious (oil gland clogged). I would see a doc to confirm it, though, and have peace of mind. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm a 20 year old female, and have noticed a hard, painless pea-sized lump in my armpit. It's been there for two years or so now, what should I do?
Lump: What you describe does not sound to be dangerous, not anything like cancer, since it has been asymptomatic and stable for 2 years. If you want to have it removed you can see a general surgeon or a family physician, most of whom are able to do simple excisions. The doctor may then advise to send it for a pathology report to know specifically what it is. ...Read more
