I've found a soft lump on my back. It's approx 2 inches below and 2 inches across from my armpit. It's on my rib cage. It's also painless.

Lump: If the lump is on your back, i would think it is a cyst of some kind. If it is mobile (meaning you can move it side to side, up and down) and it's been there for a while unchanged, it sounds like a cyst, probably sebacious (oil gland clogged). I would see a doc to confirm it, though, and have peace of mind. ...Read more

I'm a 20 year old female, and have noticed a hard, painless pea-sized lump in my armpit. It's been there for two years or so now, what should I do?

Lump: What you describe does not sound to be dangerous, not anything like cancer, since it has been asymptomatic and stable for 2 years. If you want to have it removed you can see a general surgeon or a family physician, most of whom are able to do simple excisions. The doctor may then advise to send it for a pathology report to know specifically what it is. ...Read more
