I have small white itchylumps on the insides of my anus at the edges. First got them when I had pinworms. What could they be and possible treatment?
Sounds pretty normal: The anal opening and inside are not normally smooth; the "lumps" may be entirely normal. Maybe you became aware of them because of the pinworms, but they were not the cause. And anal itching is one of the most common day to day symptoms experienced by everyone from time to time. So the bumps and itching may be unrelated. But discuss with your doctor if you remain concerned. ...Read more

I have imperforate anus and theres things i want to do in my life. Is there a permanent treatment for this?
Odd statement: I'll assume you mean you had an imperforate anus at birth and at 33 have persisting issues. This defect is incompatible with life if not operated on in infancy. External hemorrhoid right outside anus, it's not hard & no pain, but bleeds.Been there a long while.Over the counter treatments for it please?
Treat constipation: For hemorrhoids i would use a stool softener to keep stools runnier. Also, it will decompress the bowel and allow the hemorrhoids to start to shrink. I would use any over the counter hemorrhoid medication. They all work reasonably well. Finally, i would use a step stool in the bathroom to keep knees above hips while on the toilet to minimize straining. ...Read more
Friend is is 54 & has been drop of blood from anus.Feels hard & then blood. What can be causing it.Any treatment...the blood also is not always?
Hemorrhoids: The most common cause of occasional small amounts of bleeding is bleeding from internal hemorrhoids. The bleeding occurs at the end of a bowel movement, and more likely when constipated. Stool softeners and increasing fiber intake can reduce constipation. If blood is noted in the bowl, rather than just on the paper, a flexible sigmoidoscopy is mandatory to be certain that cancer is not the cause. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
