Treatments For Armpit Blister
For treating plantar warts with patches, should I be cleaning dead skin away in between treatments?
Is there any over-the-counter product for ingrown hair / razor bumps. My pubic area has morphed into a scabby, scaly, bumpy unsightly blemish. Help!
Yes: There are many ways to treat the scars, once the acne is under control. These treatments include lasers, peels and microdermabrasion. I like using a non-ablative laser known as fraxel. It works great for these areas and also resurfaces the surrounding skin improving the overall quality. A plastic surgeon or dermatologist will take a look at your skin type and determine the best approach. ...Read more
What is the diagnosis and treatment( and home remedy) for multiple red iitchy blistered skin with pus in the neck for a 4-yr old female child?
Various: Your child may have a bacterial infection. For a home remedy, i would try putting a quarter cup of bleach into a half full bathtub and soak in it, followed by patting the child dry and moisturization. Repeat this three times per week, and seek help if it doesn't resolve. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Itchy rashes under armpit, what are possible causes and OTC treatments? I shower daily, don't shave.
Dermatitis vs fungal: An 'itchy' rash in the axilla (arm pit) may be a 'contact dermatitis' or a yeast/fungal infection. An otc treatment for dermatitis is Cortaid (hydrocortisone 1%) and the treatment for fungal infection is otc 'anti-fungal' e.g. Lotrimin (clotrimazole). Dermatitis may be caused by exposure to chemicals/fragrances in deodorant/anti-perspirants so a hypo-allergenic subsitute may be needed. Get seen if no better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Treatment for hair follicles: is there any recent treatment? I use the laser treatment but the hair bumps comes back after some time
Folliculitis : I think you mean folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicles. But you mention a laser which sounds like laser hair removal. At any rate, removing the follicle will help the infection but you need a topic antibiotic as well. Ees (erythromycin ethyl succinate) pads work well. Make sure you are not allergic to something you are putting on your skin. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What type laser is most effective/least painful for .75 inch persistent plantars warts? Can you comment on the genenis plus vs. Lightpod neo?
My dermatologist prescribed deflazacort for scalp folliculitis for 6 days ........is it effective for it ?
Abx vs steroids: Folliculitis,in general,is typically caused by bacteria proliferating into the hair follicles and causing redness, swelling, and sometimes pain.I personally would start with an antibiotic and if that did not help after 5-7 days then maybe try a steroid like your doctor did.Have to also consider that the infection may be caused by fungus or virus too.If the steroid makes it worse,it's likely fungal ...Read more

Yes and no.: For and itch rash of the scalp (the technical name is seborrheic dermatitis), numerous medicated shampoos and lotions are available otc; most contain zinc or tar derivatives.
