My 2.5 yr son has some blister on his arm, and some on his stomach. His doctor said it's HPV, very common, no need to worry and no treatment is needed. But I google it, HPV seems to be a serious problem, should I be worried?

By itself, it's hard to determine, and you may be referred to a dermatologist who can pinpoint it right away and take care it. Dermatitis vs fungal: An 'itchy' rash in the axilla (arm pit) may be a 'contact dermatitis' or a yeast/fungal infection. An otc treatment for dermatitis is Cortaid (hydrocortisone 1%) and the treatment for fungal infection is otc 'anti-fungal' e.g. Lotrimin (clotrimazole). Dermatitis may be caused by exposure to chemicals/fragrances in deodorant/anti-perspirants so a hypo-allergenic subsitute may be needed. Get seen if no better. ...Read more
