I have an irritated tingling feeling near or on my anus. I don't have the urge to scratch what could it be?

The problem may be GI related (e.g. Colonic/ rectal inflammation, mass, rectal/anal dysfunction, colonic dysmotility), parasites but may be extrinsic to the GI tract (dermatologic, bladder, and in women peri-uterine, vaginal). Multiple causes: Tingling can be from a fissure which is healing ( a crack in the skin) or perhaps from a pinworm infection.
