What can cause neck pain and a sudden incidence of moderate to severe head pressure with a buzzing sensation in the head lasting only 5-10 seconds?
Several things: Your symptoms maybe coming from a couple things. Sinus infections and middle/inner ear conditions can cause head pressure, headaches, even balance problems. Your neck pain could be separate or compensatory to maintaining your upright stance (for balance). I would rec that you start with an appt with your pcp for an exam. Tarlov cysts: Hello, these are benign perineural cysts or cysts in between the coverings of the nerves, usually found co-incidentally at MRI of low back. Yours are 1.7cm and 1.5cm and are small by comparison. These should not be symptomatic, let alone need surgery, your head and ear pain probably unrelated. Often due to stress: Head "pressure" often is most often due to stress-tension-anxiety. Especially if you've had similar symptoms in the past when anxious or stressed. If the pressure is of recent onset, unrelated to stress, and located in sinus areas of forehead or cheeks it may be a sinus condition.
