Treatment For Itching Dialysis Patient
I am 28 yrs old female herpes patient. I have been under medication and treatment for 3 years now. But vaginal itching persists. Is there any cure ?
Depends on cause: Although you are being treated for herpes, itching may have other causes including stds, vaginal infection, skin conditions, allergic reaction to condoms, gels, soap, sprays, even your partner's semen. You may find relief changing the medication, the dosage, or frequency. Wear cotton underwear or none when possible (to air out the vaginal area). Use good wiping technique. See your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Had tick pulled out 3 weeks ago but now there is a lump and itches. Should i be concerned? Treatment?
Tick: Generally the rash from lyme (erythema migrans) does not itch and is not raised. What could cause a bump and itch is if part of the tick was left in and is causing an inflammatory reaction or your body is mounting a local allergic reaction to the body part. I would check to make sure some to the tick was not left behind. Should also have blood work for lyme anyway. ...Read more

Also, keep in mind that the shampoos used to treat lice can cause some irritation to the scalp which can induce itching and may not represent a residual lice infestation. ...Read more

What cream or ointment should I use on an itchy anus? My anus itches like crazy and i don't know why. I don't know weather to use Benadryl or some other treatment.
Most often: Anal itching in an adult is from either excess caffeine/beer or excess moisture or possibly yeast infection. I do not use any ointments for anal itching. Cut out the caffeine and beer and use plain cornstarch powder liberally and frequently to your bottom. If itching is waking from sleep, caffeine is the most likely culprit. Also consider pin worms but rare in adult. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
