Arthritic changes: Chondocalcinosis is a condition with deposition of calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystals in the articular or joint surface cartilage (white stuff on the end of a chicken bone) that leads to arthitic changes. Ah, PCOS: would be treated that way. Certainly birth control will prevent pregnancy by giving hormones all the time and messing up cycling. Some people have part of the ovary making high amounts of hormones...making their own internal birth control pill. The hope (it is at best 50/50) is that stopping everything w. birth control hits the reset button. ...Read more
