Can spread: Ring worm can spread. If you are seeing other areas that look like what was on your chin, best to treat these areas as well (topical antifungal cream?) If you are unsure, best to see healthcare provider as skin lesions really need to be seen/felt and sometimes biopsied to get you the correct diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Hard to tell: You history is too vague to get an answer. If you had been using an anti-fungal cream yet the "ringworm" continued to spread, then it is not ringworm. Perhaps it is time for you to see your doctor. ...Read more

Yes&yes but only if: Lotrimin is an over-the-counter brand of clotrimazole which is an antifungal. While Lotrimin doesn't have specific adult vs pediatric guidelines, clotrimazole is approved for use in children. However, it's best to have your infant evaluated to confirm your suspicions.
