Neurologist told me that if I have a pinched nerve in back for 3-4 years that needle would not detect it. Is this true?
Basically: yes it is: A reason that back pain absorbs so much of the Health Care resources is that detection of specific cause and targeted treatment is so elusive. Back problem: My first thought was a neuroma in the foot however your MRI was normal. The low back spinal nerves innervate the foot. Positional changes effect the pinched area of the nerve exiting the spine. I would get a CT scan of the lumbar back. Antiinflammatory meds can help quiet the nerve down.
