Walking (Definition)

Your doctor may also suggest a safe exercise plan. Walking is usually the easiest type of exercise, but swimming or other low-impact exercises can work just as well. Exercise is an important way to keep blood sugar in control, and physical activity in pregnancy has been found to decrease the risk ...Read more

Walking and running on a treadmill for 4 mile help me lose weight or I need to do more?

Walking and running on a treadmill for 4 mile help me lose weight or I need to do more?

Excercise: Walking 4 miles on a treadmill a day will most likely help you lose weight. However, you have to make sure you watch your caloric intake. If you eat a lot more food to make up for the exercise you won't lose any weight and may in the end put more on. The best thing is to eat right along with your exercise. Keep up the good work! ...Read more

How much weight can I loose in 3 months by walking 30 minutes on treadmill at 4.7 km/hr or by running 30 minutes on treadmill at 7 km/hr ?

Not Sure: I'm not sure about the weight loss relationship to your walking or running, but I am certain that the correct amount of exercise and the type of exercise best suited to your needs is whatever you will enthusiastically stick to over the long run. All too often people "burn out" chasing an exact target of minutes and speed. ...Read more

Is walking, jogging and running on treadmill good for scoliosis?

Won't hurt scoliosis: and all three are great aerobic exercises, but do not really strengthen core musculature. My pulse rate hits a high of 160 when I am walking or running on a treadmill. Is this healthy?

Probably OK: Depending on your age and cardiovascular conditioning status, that may be fine. Prolonged heart rate maintenance during aerobic exercise is part of the conditioning process. Need to make sure the heart rate is regular (not skipping around) or associated with lightheadedness or inappropriate breathlessness. Getting a monitored stress test before aggressive exercise (if sedentary) prudent. ...Read more

Running or fast walking on treadmill for losing weight ? For how long daily ? & best time morning b4 or after breakfast ? Or afternoon better ? Thx :)

Treadmill walking.: I always tell people to do cardiovascular exercise before breakfast, as you'll burn much more fat calories for energy than you would if you exercise after eating. Start with 20 minutes on most days of the week and build up from there as it gets easier. ...Read more

I want a flat butt and slimmer thighs. Can it be possible only with flat treadmill running? I dont want to do squats and lunges.

I want a flat butt and slimmer thighs. Can it be possible only with flat treadmill running? I dont want to do squats and lunges.

My guess is you will: need to do something more than "flat treadmill running" but can probably meet your goals without squats and lunges. Jumping rope or stair climbing would probably be good. Various websites I consulted showed workouts that included other exercises beside squats and lunges (what's wrong with those??). I would consult a recommended personal trainer. Good wishes:) ...Read more

Trochanteric bur-: -sitis is a common problem. If it hurts 2 push on the prominence of the hip at the side as well as trouble sleeping on that side, it's a good bet that's what it is. I try and walk 5 days a week at least 60 minutes a day on the treadmill at 2.3 mph with no incline is this still considered cardio?

Cardio: Your question is missing any kind of data to make a good answer. The biggest issue is are you getting your heart rate to a level that is 'excercise'...Like at your age you should be at 130 to 140 beats per minute. If you are at this level you are exercising appropriately. If not you are just sauntering and wasting your time. ...Read more
