My guess is you will: need to do something more than "flat treadmill running" but can probably meet your goals without squats and lunges. Jumping rope or stair climbing would probably be good. Use more cal/min: U r doing more work not only propelling ur self forward but u r also lifting ur body also, therefore using more energy and burning more cals. The biggest issue is are you getting your heart rate to a level that is 'excercise'...Like at your age you should be at 130 to 140 beats per minute.
