What to do if I had 50 mg of trazodone two days ago and am still feeling the effects. How long does it take to wear off?
That is my short ans:
50 mgm trazadone, 48 hours later you still have the effects.
You probably went to see an md with some complaints, which included sleep disturbance. He gave you trazadone and you sort of sleeping since then.

Just make sure you taper and do not stop benzo abruptly and consult with prescribing doc. If you are a resident of CA I would be happy to provide a virtual consult. If not consider a virtual consult with a Healthtap psychiatrist who is licensed in your state ...Read more
How long trazadone will stay in your urine? Also, will it show a false positive if it is still in your urine during a urine screen?
I took a trazadone and I've heard it can cause a false positive for urine screens, I only took 50mg. How long before it's out of my urine completely?
5 x its half life: A drug is considered gone after about 5 half lives. Trazodone has a biphasic elimination with a redistribution of about one hour and an elimination of half-life of 10-12 hours. To be safe I would wait at least 50 hours and hydrate well before taking the urine drug test. Use of trazodone a triazolopyridine antidepressant can yield a false positive amphetamine result. ...Read more

Trazodone: This medication can cause false positives in urine drug screens but not in confirmatory testing. Is there any medical reason for an abnormally large number of false positives for benzodiazepines on urine drug screens?
Is it a really high chance a positive test for amphedimine and a week later benzodiazepine be false positives?
Low chance: So there was a positive test for amphetamines, and then a week later for benzodiazepines. You wonder about the chances that both could be false positives. The chances would be quite small. ...Read more

Why do benzodiazepines show positive in my urine and I'm not sure what causes this when I'm not taking anything but blood pressure meds?
False positive?: Some nonsteroidal medications can cause false positives for benzodiazepines: daypro, tolmetin (tolectin) Naproxen (aleve) Etodolac (lodine) and fenoprofen (nalfon). In some cases, the antidepressant zoloft (sertraline) can do it also. Http://tinyurl. I tested positive for benzodiazepine march 6th 2014, after taking 4 kolopin 1mg february 14 2014, why is this still showing up in my urine?
Very long half-life: Klonopin (clonazepam) has a very long elimination half-life: 18-60 hours. It takes 5 of these half-lives to effectively eliminate the Klonopin (clonazepam) from your system (supposing you're not still taking it). So depending on your metabolism this could take 12-14 days. If you're still taking a few of the pills, this would also register positive. ...Read more
