I started taking Trazodone for chronic insomnia. It worked great for 7 days. Then last night I took it, and even upped the dose, and got nothing. Does this mean it's never going to work again? Normal?

I was recently prescribed 100 mg of trazodone to help with my insomnia. Do I have to take it every night or can I take it only when i really need it?
As needed: Trazadone is actually an antidepressant, but only in very high doses. Sedation is a side effect even in low doses and not necessary to take regularly when used for insomnia.
