Trazodone And Amitriptyline
What to do if i had 50 mg of trazodone two days ago and am still feeling the effects. How long does it take to wear off?
I take trazodone for sleep make me sleep in 10 min but i dont sleep more then 5h do u think elavil (amitriptyline) make me sleep fast as trazodone and sleep longer?
Trazodone doesn't: usually act this way. It typically takes longer to act, and puts people out longer, with a longer hang over the next morning than Elavil (amitriptyline) or other sleep aids. Elavil (amitriptyline) is another antidepressant in this class, but has a bad reputation for side effects, mostly weight gain (not so for Trazodone). I've just seen on the Internet that trazadone and amitriptyline taken together is dangerous, opinions please?
I am prescribed .50mg Xanax (alprazolam) 3/daily, 75mg Amitriptyline, and 50mg Trazadone. I'm 6'1, 232 male. Is this safe?
OVERLAPPING MEDS: The combo of Meds you are on looks like you are being treated for anxiety and depression . Xanax (alprazolam) is short acting for anxiety . Trazadone and amitriptyline are long acting for anxiety and depression but are very similar and both cause weight gain.. I would taper trazadone and start cymbalta. You need full lab work up including TFTS. Also a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
