Not always.: Although change in bowel habits is a strong indicator of colon cancer, it can signify other things as well, like irritable bowel syndrome, or gallbladder issue, i.e. Stones. Your'e young for colon cancer, and gallbladder issues. So it is likely that the source of this lies elsewhere, like your diet. Not likely: From the standpoint of the medical profession, black stools -called melena - are always assumed to be blood. Usually representing bleeding from stomach or "higher up" within the intestines. Colon bleeding usually is red. Not quite, but....: An accessory spleen is something that one person in four is born with, or that can happen if the splenic capsule is torn and some of the pulp is released.
