You: You are likely dealing with musculoskeletal pain from the physical activity you engaged in. The pain should subside in a week or two. In the meantime take advil (ibuprofen) or Ibuprofen every six to eight hours as needed for pain. Rest as much as possible. You can also try a heating pad to the affected area. If you develop numbness, tingling, or shooting pain see your doctor right away.
Take care. ...Read more

Are trampolines safe with kids?

Yes and no.: In general they are responsible for lots of injuries. Officilly the aap is against them because of thatnhigh injury risk. But if a high quality trampoline with quality sides is used with god supervision and rules then the could be safe. Limit to 1-2 kids at once. Never allow flips. And use a trampoline with quality sides so that kids cannot fall off.

I have bad knees and was wondering if rebounding (exercising on a mini trampoline) is a good or bad exercise for that?

Not good: Trampoline exercises are not good if you already have problems with the knees. Any exercise that increases pressure on these joints should be reduced. Swimming, bicycling, elliptical machine and walking are gentle on the knees. ...Read more

Bought exercise trampoline, but it has warning saying "product contains chemicals known in state of CA to cause cancer, etc." Is it unsafe to use?

No. You're fine.: California has a stupid law and EVERYTHING is "known" to cause cancer there. There are things that really cause cancer, but this is no way to detect them. Stop worrying about it and enjoy your trampoline. ...Read more

Is it safe for kids to jump on a trampoline?

Is it safe for kids to jump on a trampoline?

Supervised: Trampolines are a lot of fun. However, many children and adults get hurt on them. Many trampolines have safety nets surrounding them which limit the chance of falling off. Another safety precaution is to only allow one person on the trampoline at a time. Depending on the kids age and safety precautions made, adult supervision should be a given in order to limit chance of injury. ...Read more

What can you do if you land on your neck/head while doing a back flip on a trampoline?

What can you do if you land on your neck/head while doing a back flip on a trampoline?

Depends.: Like any fall, it depends on how you feel afterwards. If you are unconscious and can't move or breath, then the worst happened and you broke your neck. This is unlikely. If you have no pain, then you are fine. If you have pain, and it is severe, or you are confused or vomiting, of course, don't move and call 911. Otherwise, if you have minor pain, like past wipe-outs, then rest, ice, Tylenol ...Read more

I went jumping at a trampoline park today and did a few flips and jumped in pit now my shoulder hurts on the side about-2-3 inches down?

I went jumping at a trampoline park today and did a few flips and jumped in pit now my shoulder hurts on the side about-2-3 inches down?

Nor surprising: I would expect you to be sore after a fall on your shoulder. That is normal. Now, if you have some limitation of movement of your shoulder, or reduced range of motion, you might be smart to be seen and evaluated. Also, if you have shortness of breath you need to be seen, sooner than later. But, you are probably fine. Take Aspirin or ibuprofen, apply some ice. Good luck. ...Read more

I had a spinal fusion last april my question is it ok for me to go on a trampoline? During my post exam 4/24 dr said my back healed very well

What does a Sharp pain when leg is extended mean? Leg was hit with other leg while jumping on trampoline.

More info needed: More information is needed about the location of the leg pain. Your injury appears to be a muscle contusion where it was struck. Another possibility is a leg muscle strain or a sprained ankle or knee. Extending the leg may aggravate all these injuries. Treat with rest, cold applications on and off for two days and then switch to intermittent heat. Advil or Aleve (naproxen) may help. See your MD as needed. ...Read more

I'm only 13 years old and I just got off of my trampoline with a wrenching pain in my chest. I've been drinking water but it still hurts. Help?

Chest pain: The most likely problem is an acute strain of the muscles of the rib cage. This would be associated with increased pain on motions and probably tenderness at the site of the injury. Treatment would be rest, Tylenol but, if you can take them, anti-inflammatory medications like Advil or Aleve should help. See your physician if pain remains severe or if you have shortness of breath. ...Read more
