Good start: Walking an hour a day on a treadmill is a good way to start exercising but will probably get boring very quickly. Instead, once you're comfortable walking, consider shortening your treadmill time to just 30min while alternating fast sprints w/slow recovery speeds. Depends: With proper supervision by a health care profession it is okay but if you are doing this on your own it is not safe. You want to reduce calories per day through a good diet and exercise regimen. If you can burn more calories per day while on a healthy diet you will lose weight. Goal weight loss no >0.5-1lb/week. If U seem 2 B carrying some fat that U would like 2 loose, strength & cardio along with adequate protein intake , the fat will gradually B gone.
