Blood in urine: the urine protein is usually due to the red blood cells in the urine . You should have a urine culture sent to check for infection, even though the test does not show leukocytes. Also be evaluated for kidney stones and other causes of blood in the urine. An ultrasound or stone protocol CT scan may be needed as well as bloodwork to check kidney function. ...Read more

Urine dipstick shows leukocytes, protein and presence of blood. I have no other symptoms of a UTI. Is this something else?
Urinary evaluation: Well this is clearly an abnormal finding -so a professional evaluation is warranted. I would be looking for a full urinalysis -not just a dipstick. There are other diseases that could cause 'sediment' in the urine -so part of this could be explained by whatever medical issues you have now. I would call your primary doc and set up an apt-preferably this week. If you get urinary symptoms-Urgent Care ...Read more

It is not directly related to having diabetes, but diabetics are more prone to getting infections, such as urinary infections. You should see your doctor about. ...Read more

White blood cells: Leukocytes is the fancy term for white blood cells. Leukocytes can be present when there is inflammation or other immune system response even if there is no evidence of infection. This could be because the infection is not detected (i.E virus not tested for) or it is not an infection but some other cause of inflammation (injury, autoimmune, etc.). See your doctor for further assistance. ...Read more

Is this new?: You'll do well to have a follow-up, probably with imaging. Many people have this for a lifetime with no problems -- these people often have a mutated collagen gene that allows red cells to pass through the little filters in the kidneys. However, this finding is worrisome for stone, tumor etc if its a new finding at your age. Best wishes. Usually these things are manageable. ...Read more
