What makes up Vyvanse other than its active compound? In other words, what additional compounds or elements, chemicals, 'inerts' etc are in the drug?
Vyvanse is a prodrug: Its chemical structure consists of dextroamphetamine coupled with the essential amino acid, L-lysine, called Lisdexamfetamine (L-lysine-dextroamphetamine). It must be converted in the body to the active stimulant, dextroamphetamine. It is useful for treatment of ADHD because the time necessary for the body to convert it allows it to be active much longer than dextroamphetamine itself. ...Read more
Be VERY careful: Most of the outfits offering "heavy metal testing" are scams, charging outrageous prices for"tests" intended to get you to buy their nutritional supplements, have your fillings removed, and generally suck you into a expensive racket. They exude warmth and this is the one thing that may make you feel better. ...Read more
My kid 2year and 10 month (10/01/2013), boy, now is 89.5cm, much lower than the normal height in graph. Weight is 11.6kg.
Measure the trace elements?
Why trace elements ?: A single height & weight are not adequate background information upon which to make any recommendation. This must be put in context with the ht/wt of the parents, the past measurements of the kid, the kids overall health. The cited numbers are in the 5-10% range of the general population on CDC growth charts. Which means that by themselves, they are absolutely normal for 5-10% of the population. ...Read more
Peeing with traces of blood. I have a friend who is noticing blood coming out when peeing? There is a slight pain. Any medication that be recommended?
Urinary infection: Blood in the urine with painful urination is often due to a urinary tract infection, which usually requires antibiotic treatment if the symptoms last more than a day or two. A doc has to prescribe them. Your friend can consider doing a Healthtap Prime virtual consult with a doc licensed in your country and if an antibiotic is indicated, the doc can prescribe one. Otherwise have her see her doc. ...Read more
Is a Trace of blood in a stool from GP labtest in the Range of
normal ?Or should it be followed up
with a FOB Test ? which food medications
Blood in stool : A trace of blood in the stool is never normal. There can be many causes of blood in the stool, but it is important, especially in your 40s and 50s, to have your G.I. tract evaluated anytime even a trace of blood is found, even if it is only one test. You should see a gastroenterologist. Good luck. ...Read more
During my pregnancy period doctor told me i am HIV pos and i did not take an medication, i put to birth no trace of HIV in my baby hemogram test why?
Urine dipstick test shows pH of 7.0 and traces of leukocytes and protein. She prescribed Macrobid I went in for loose stools and back and pelvic pain. Should I take the medication
No: Trace leucocytes & trace protein are within normal limits & may be simple contaminants such as from vaginal epithelial cells. Presumably nitrite was negative which would have indicated baceria in your urine. Urine culture from a mid stream specimen, separating labia to avoid contamination, after cleansing with soap towlettes, would be more definitative for uti. That way you and your dr. Would know. ...Read more
I heard that girls/women who take the drug "ecstacy" have traces of it in their spinal fluid for 30 years later. If true, could it impact offspring?
No but yes....: Generally speaking, a woman is born with all of the eggs she's going to have. That means they are all exposed to everything she puts into her body, especially drugs. It has nothing to do with whether it is sequestered in her spinal fluid; it is doing its damage at the time she takes the drugs. This is one of the inherent dangers of taking drugs. ...Read more
I took a short course of Xanax (alprazolam). 1 mg daily for 5 days. Discontinued use 1 week ago. will it show on drug screen? if so, would it be trace amounts?
Unlikely to show: Depends somewhat on the limits on the test BUT, it is a short acting drug. It shows up for about 5 days. That is not a large dose. ...Read more
Can MDMA be transfered via sex? I.e. sweat, semen, saliva? I have a drug tests and they’re VERY sensitive and detect even trace amounts.
No: They may be able to detect "traces" according to their descriptions, but there's a cutoff below which the law requires a drug assay to be reported as negative. I hope you're not dating someone who's using. Best wishes. ...Read more
My father creatinine level-1.4,uric acid-7.7,albumin trace. Is this a PROBLEM,if so what diet and drug should be followed?
See below: Evaluating lab results without knowing medical history and medications is imprecise. Creatinine 1.4 may or may not indicate mild renal impairment. More precise test is estimated GFR. Trace albumin may indicate microvascular changes in glomeruli, especially if diabetic. Uric acid 7.7 is slightly elevated>>Rx= wt.loss, reduce alcohol, increase low fat dairy, reduce meat, increase complex carbs ...Read more
I am terrified of getting traces of drugs on my clothes or shoes from public places and then it harming/killing me by me touching and ingesting them?
Obsessions: Most people have a rational, normal reaction to seeing a snake nearby(get away). When that rational response increases to an obsession you are phobic. For some it is spiders, thunder, crowds, etc. When it interferes with your life, you need to find a life coach/therapist/psychiatrist who can help you discover what is behind your fear. When you do, you can work to get past it & begin to live again. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How long does it take to get the trace of weed out of a system? My boyfriend was on blood thinners because of a heart condition he has and he smoked pot with an old friend of his and when he had to take a drug test it showed up positive. He failed to tell
A few days: If it is truly only one use it will show up for 3-4 days at most, depending on the amount smoked. However, if it is regular smoking of marijuana, it can last many weeks or even months. If your husband is on blood thinners, he needs to know that there are a huge number of potential drug interactions that can increase or decrease effectiveness of blood thinners and put him at risk, including pot. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can you tell me if traces of illicit drugs could remain in phlegm if a person has chronic bronchitis and could this result in a positive drug test result even if the drug/s had not been consumed for weeks/months?
UTI culture showed traces of Staph and Strep, sensitive to augumentin drug didn't work ,now my mouth has a metallic taste, plus left side abdominal pain, still feel pressure on bladder and watery discharge ?
There are none...: Even the strongest opiates only "take the edge off" for people in chronic pain. Meds are only one part of dealing with the pain. A useful tool, but pain is so necessary for survival that we are not "allowed" to monkey with it much. In acute pain, the transition from miserable to less miserable can be great. In chronic pain, it's just part of the plan. ...Read more
