Igg of 156 for toxoplasmosis, IgM was negative. Active or distant infection? Since IgG is so high, could the IgM just not be + yet? 11 weeks preg.
Distant: With a high igg and a negative igm this is supportive of exposure in the remote past. Igm would not turn positive after igg is already elevated. That said, it's not clear from your question why your toxo titers were tested in the first place, and i suggest you discuss the results with the provider who ordered them to be clear. ...Read more

Toxoplasma IgM: that is a borderline increase, but needs to be looked after and repeated, could just be false positive, common with IgM as it is very sensitive, very early to talk about whether your baby is affected, IgG is negative, talk to your doctor and keep a close follow up , your doctor will give you more information, wish you healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby, ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Toxoplasmosis results - IgM equivocal, IgG is positive. Igg avidity in process. If positive, what's next step? Wife is 24 weeks.
Toxoplasmosis: If the igg test is positive, that relates to exposure some time ago so that is good. The igm is equivocal so that may mean that the exposure wasn't as long as you would like. I would talk to your OB and they can order a detailed ultrasound to see if there is any evidence of infection. If that is negative, she and the baby needs to be monitored carefully. ...Read more
No?: Without more details, such as units used and which test was used, it is difficult to say for sure. Toxoplasmosis: Highly improbable that she has had acute Toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. This pattern suggests old infection. If she ever becomes profoundly immune suppressed it is possible to reactivate Toxoplasmosis and so her doctors should be aware of the prior history of exposure. It is one of those organisms that once having acquired you never get rid of. Fetus should be fine. ...Read more
