I had surgery for tendons torn lose in both elbows with no relief?

Tennis elbow: Sounds surgery for tennis elbow. I am sorry to hear that you didn't get better. I used to operate on tennis elbow after 6 weeks of failed conservative treatment. Now I wait for at least 12-18 months. Reason is, most get better with time. Mri often suggests "torn tendon" but surgery is rarely needed. Diagnosis can be incorrect, since other conditions can cause same symptoms. Get 2nd opinion. ...Read more

I have a torn tendon on the bottom of my elbow plus cartilage and ligament damage which is very painful. How is it ever going to get better?

Surgery: Most tendon ruptures require surgical repair because of the deformity that occurs within the tendon structure just prior its failure ie. Rupture. It's called plastic deformation and the tendon changes are not reversible. Ultimate tensile failure is the term for tendon rupture when the forces exceed the strength of the tendon fibers. ...Read more

Bad injury 2-3 weeks ago. Still cannot rotate arm palm down to palm up. Not that it hurts I just can't. Was diagnosed as elbow fx. Could this be tendon?

Maybe, but: Since you were diagnosed with a fracture, that certainly may be affecting your range of motion. Your dr should be following up with you to assure you are progressing normally. Orthopedics may be needed to assess your fracture care and physical therapy and rehab may be beneficial for improving range of motion. A physical exam would be able to help diagnose a possible tendon issue as well. Gd luck. ...Read more

High grade partial tear in the ucl and common flexor tendon of the elbow what does this mean and what is the usual treatment?

When my mom makes a fist the tendons hurt at the elbow and very sore. What could it be?

"tennis" elbow...: …especially if it hurts to turn her hand over against force like opening a door or picking up a frying pain. If it hurts in the other direction, it's "golfer's" elbow.
