Torn Tendon In Elbow Symptoms
Torn left knee meniscus twice, torn right achillis tendon, and symptoms of right knee meniscus tear after mri, no trauma, what could be the cause?!
Some activity: You do not have to have a specific injury to cause a meniscal tear. Sometimes the meniscus can degenerate and tear from repetitive activities such as running basketball and other pseudotraumatic sports i would work a lot on strengthening and plyometrics to help prevent further problems. ...Read more

Injured rotator cuff almost torn in half and my bicep tendon muscle ruptured surgery now trigger finger problems. Normal?
Yes: That sounds pretty typical. The biceps tear and rotator cuff tear occurs together as part of the same degenerative process. The tears (along with the surgery) cause swelling that involves the entire hand. The swelling and inflammation makes trigger fingers worse by swelling the finger tendons that no longer fit through their tendon sheaths. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Joint and back pain and stiffness with numerous trigger points, most recent MRI of hand revealed a partial tear of the flexor pollicis longus tendon?
Arthritis: You have described an arthritis condition, of which there are many types. In addition to joint damage, many arthritides can cause tendon damage resulting in tears or ruptures. See a rheumatologist. (note "fibromyalgia" while causing tender points, does not result in tendon tears). ...Read more

Yes it could : A muscle strain or tear in the biceps could cause pain in the elbow . The biceps tendon inserts on the radial tuberosity of the radius bone of the proximal forearm. Biceps strains in young people generally cause pain where the muscle has been injured, however. So pain where u are describing it would be unusual. More commonly the flexor/ pronator muscle group would cause medial elbow pain. ...Read more

Will i need foot surgery for focal longitudinal split tear of the peroneus longus tendon, tenosynovitis of the flexor tendons, or a non visualized atf?
MAYBE: For the flexor tenosynovitis, no; PT, rest w/ a boot, NSAID's may help. "Non-visualized ATF?" I would have to see you clinically. Do you have an unstable ankle? "Split PL tendon"-I would start w/ a boot or brace, maybe PT. If it does not get better and it hurts, may need repair. Good luck! Dr. Latva ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Treatment for torn meniscus and partial torn lateral collateral ligament in left knee diagnosed by MRI scan?
Dislocation: An isolated ligament tear in the knee can cause profound instability but rarely if ever a "dislocation" of the knee. Typically you would need at least 3 ligaments torn to cause a dislocation. A single ligament such as the lcl may cause a sense of subluxation (partial separation) of the joint but not a dislocation. ...Read more
