Hopefully that was your case. If it does wear off say after 2-3 weeks of >50% relief of symptoms, then you may benefit from short term oral NSAID (as long as your kidney function is good). Ice, Ice and More..: Sounds like you tore a muscle or strained a tendon. You need to do some hard stuff. Move. Get up and around as much as possible or it will get stiffer, ice the area that hurts several times a day, ice bath even, Keep using a Advil (ibuprofen) or Alieve for pain and swelling. These take time to heal. If you do that for a week and still have severe pain see you doctor. ...Read more
