Tincture of time: The technical name is "telogen effluvium", and it's common, especially after surgery. I understand it's probably freaking you out, but the hair will grow back. Size Matters: Depending on the size of the cavity and how far is extends across the different sides of the tooth, a Cerec restoration could be worth the investment. When a dentist recommends a composite resin filling, it is usually the best treatment for that tooth to restore it to optimal form and function. We budget is a concern, sometimes a dentist will offer choices. Ask your dentist about each tooth. ...Read more

My skin on my face gets severely dry, red, & flakey, esp on my chin, under my eyebrows, & above upper lip. Any suggestions, besides aveeno (oatmeal) & aquaphor?

Dermatitis: It sounds like you have a condition called seborrhic dermatitis. It is caused by over active skin oil, glands in the areas you describe. Infrequent use of a cortisone cream your doctor can prescribed is the best way to keep it under control. Cortisone should not be used for more than a week or so at a time on the face. Consult with your family doctor or a dermatologist. ...Read more

3 mos baby teething signs 3 white bumps like milia in same area on top gum & unconsolable, tooth?

If truly not able to be consoled, the baby should be seen at the emergency room to rule out meningitis. If just "fussier than usual", parents can check the baby with no clothes on, give tylenol, (acetaminophen) give a warm bath, give a feeding, and if still fussy, go to urgent care. ...Read more
