10mg Amitriptyline: Hello. This is a very low dose. I start patients this low if they are extremely sensitive to meds. Next dose up from 10mg is 25mg. You may just need an additional 15mg in your system to make the difference with your neuropathic thigh pain.In my patient population 10mg-100mg at night has worked the best. Most likely: Since they attack "nerve" pain by different mechanisms then there is a potential for additive benefit. They are often used in combination for that purpose. Keep in mind that medications like this do not work right away, so if you can tolerate as they "get into your system" over the course of a few weeks you will be able to see if they truly work for you. ...Read more
