.

Depends: Whether the shape of the natural tooth, or its position, is best duplicated, or to be improved upon, for long term function... Also, prosthetic materials don't always look exactly like natural tooth structure, so it may look different but be completely fine in terms of what you need. ...Read more

Tooth extraction just done four days ago and looking for more information on how to gargle?

Warm salt water: I would recommend gargling with a tablespoon of salt in 8 ounces of warm water 4 times a day. Don't vigourously rinse the extraction site because you don't want to disrupt the blood clot. Lightly rinse and swish with the salt water and spit out. Don't try to clean out or disrupt the extraction site. ...Read more

I am 15wks pregnant and i was wondering was it safe to get my tooth extracted? Im really nervous and i don't want anything to be harmful to my unborn.

Should be fine: Good for you to protect your unborn child ! the optimum time in pregnancy for things such as this is the 2nd trimester, which you are in . This is predominantly a growth phase rather than a development phase. Although Epinephrine in reasonable amounts should not be an issue, you might opt for a combination of a small amount of anesthesia with epi and some more without. Good luck with all. ...Read more

I accidentally glued something to my tooth. How can I get it off safely?

I accidentally glued something to my tooth. How can I get it off safely?

Depends on glue : See your dentist. Depends on glue and the something. If it was superglue, it will eventually come off as the glue dissolves in the mouth -- may take days / weeks. If you can grab the something with your fingers or needlenose pliers, you might be able to twist it off. If it is soft enough, you might use an emery board to sand/file it off. If all else fails --see your dentist. Good luck. ...Read more

My son is 1.5 years old and i noticed that there is a tooth coming on his palate. What to do how dangerous it is?

First Primary Molar?: It sounds like it might be his first primary (baby) molar tooth erupting. Whether or not it is can only be determined by bringing him to a Pedodontist to have it looked at. At his age it's time to be seen for a general check-up and counselling anyway. ...Read more
