He should be seen: It could be pertussis, or cough-variant asthma, even without a night-time cough, or allergy-triggered cough. There are other types of lung problems more common in certain age groups so it is important to know how old he is. No matter what, a prolonged cough is not normal and a complete history including environment, exam, possible blood/skin/xray tests need to be considered. ...Read more

Alot worse?: If worse it needs to be checked. If it's the cough that's worse, so long as you're not coughing up green or yellow, it's likely viral and will pass. If coughing until vomiting, may have pertussis, and need different antibiotic. ...Read more

Slightly enlarged painless posterior cervical nodes, together with tonsillitis, productive cough & wisdom toothache, should I still push for biopsy?
Many of your symptoms are closely associated with periocoronitis (infection and inflammation between your gums and the wisdom tooth). Lymph nodes are basically your drainage system for infections. Have xrays and an exam to determine the current status of your wisdom teeth. Most likely once these are removed or irrigated then your symptoms should subside.

I have laryngitis, tonsillitis conjunctavitis flu chesty cough asthma body aches ESP my neck and head, the first 3 only since 8 hrs ago. Any ideas?
Viral syndrome: You likely have a viral infection. You should treat the symptoms (body aches, fever, sore throat) with Tylenol (acetaminophen) or aspirin. You may feel worse before you feel better and it may take several days or up to a week for symptoms to resolve. If you develop new symptoms like shortness of breath, inability to swallow see your doctor; it is unlikely that antiobiotics would help as this is likely viral. ...Read more
