How to stop tonsil stones from coming back every month?

How to stop tonsil stones from coming back every month?

Biofilm: So, these stones are a part of a chronic tonsillitis. The 'perfect' way to get rid of them is to have the tonsils out. But, most people don't want to do that so, why not try to brush the tonsils or use a waterpik (or other type of jet) to blast them? Then, you can try mouthwash with Chlorhexidine in it to kill the bacteria. Good luck!

Tonsil stones.: Tonsils are filled with nooks and crannies where bacteria and dead cells and mucous become trapped. The debris becomes concentrated in white formations that occur in the pockets and tonsil stones, or tonsilloliths, are formed when this trapped debris calcifies. This tends to happen most often in people who have chronic inflammations like sinusitis. Cannot prevent them except tonsillectomy.

What would one or two white spots on your tonsils mean? Would it be tonsilitis, thrush, or tonsil stones? They clear up and come back.

Tonsils: Tonsils may develop small white patches that are simply dried surface secretions and have no medical concern. If there is no abnormal asymmetry of tonsils, no redness or pain then infections, such as strep or mono are unlikely. Thrush tends to cause scattered white thin exudate on the palate and cheeks or throat, and less so on the tonsils.

Should I see a doctor? Do I have tonsil stones? Okay so about a year ago my tongue developed white bubbles in the back. I figured it'd go away so I ignored it. Then, my tongue started to get white stuff on it, which I would scrap off but it'd come back so

Depends: Tonsil stones are little white stones visible in the tonsils (located on the lateral areas of your throat). People with tonsil stones feel like there is "something annoying" stuck in their throat and are constantly trying to clear it. A film on your tongue is not unusual. Most people need to brush or scrape their tongue regularly to clean this film away.

My uvula is sticking to my tonsil and I can feel it in the back of my throat I also have several craters and tonsil stones keep coming...what do I do?

Need to examine: The symptoms you described warrant examination by an ENT doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Can you get tonsil stones under your tonsils beside the back of the tounge? As well as the tonsils themselves, and how do know if they arnt visible

Can you get tonsil stones under your tonsils beside the back of the tounge? As well as the tonsils themselves, and how do know if they arnt visible

Rule out tonsillitis: LINGULAR TONSILS under the tongue can become inflamed =tonsillitis and can cause halitosis. You need exam and have a throat culture. If that is negative then blood work needs to be done to evaluate for other issues, especially H. pylori. It is the ulcer causing bacteria that can cause halitosis as well. Make sure to brush and floss teeth 3x/dy. Also use a specially designed tongue scraper

My boyfriend has bad breath and little white things in back of his throat. Could these be the tonsil stones, and what do we do about it?

My boyfriend has bad breath and little white things in back of his throat. Could these be the tonsil stones, and what do we do about it?

See the doctor: There are many things that can cause halitosis, and since this appears to be a change in the way his breath usually smells, and because of the whiteness that you see in the back of the throat, he should see his doctor to be evaluated. Although these are not likely to be tonsil stones, they do need to be evaluated. Good luck.

Can tonsil stones cause a dirt-type taste in the back of your throat more so when swallowing for 1+ years constantly? (just about every day)

Can tonsil stones cause a dirt-type taste in the back of your throat more so when swallowing for 1+ years constantly? (just about every day)

Yes: Yes they can. You need to consult with an ENT doctor about your tonsils. Sometimes a course of an antibiotic like Clindamycin can be helpful in changing the bacteria of your tonsils and decreasing the odor and taste. Sometimes we have to remove the tonsils.

ENT: Unfortunately if you cannot see with tongue depressor anything unusual, then the only next step that will help would be to have an exam by an ear nose throat doctor.

Dark purple vein and white spot on the back of my throat does not look like or feel like tonsil stones the white spot size of quarter veins thick?

Be seen: A referral to an ear, nose and throat doctor would be a good plan. It may be a collection of blood vessels called an hemangioma. It needs to be seen before you have bleeding problems. All the best.

Yellow looking blisters in back of throat, I suffer from post nasal drip that won't go away, and tonsil stones. What are the blisters?

Lymphoid tissue: The bumps in the back of the throat if they are not painful are probably lymphoid tissue which are a response to the drainage from your post nasal drip. They are reacting to viruses or bacteria.
