Tonsil Is Weird Shaped
Tonsil is a little bigger/shaped different than the other? Noticed this for a month but may have been like this forever never saw. Can this be normal?
Yes: Enlarged tonsils are a frequent occurrence, even when healthy, however they may cause significant discomfort if/when you do present with an illness, e.g., head cold or sore throat (especially strep throat). If you are concerned, please see your doctor. A thorough exam will help determine if an intervention, such as tonsillectomy, would benefit you and/or prevent future discomfort. Read more
Exudate?: Without seeing it directly, it is hard to tell. But if it hasn't been there long, it may be a tonsillar exudate (pus). Exudates can form from bacterial or viral illnesses. If this is the case, your pediatrician can sample the exudate to determine if it is strep throat. See your pediatrician especially if she has a fever of greater than 100.4F, no cough, and swollen neck glands. Read more
I have this little bean shaped looking thing where my right tonsil used to be. I also have earaches and swollen gland all on my right side. Why?
Tonsilloliths: From your description, I have to guess that you have already had your tonsils out. If the color is a flesh color or pink or even red, it could be residual tonsillar tissue that was either incompletely removed or it could be tonsil from the back of your tongue. It is not uncommon to have earaches with pain in the tonsil beds, so it is probably referred pain. This might explain the glands, too. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Yellow roundish things behind tonsils and on the sides of arch shaped thing your uvula is attached to. Picking won't remove them. What could they be?
What do my mri results mean; chronic microvas ischemic changes noted, frontal bone lesion & slightly abnormally shaped & low lying cerebellar tonsil.
Hard to say: Urs best to discuss this with a neurology doctor, who can get full history. Picture by itself is just a picture-need medical hx and exam. So far it may look that there are changes- probably due to long history of smoking or other vascular disease. ... As far as the shape of the brain parts and frontal lesion- it's impossible to tell without more info Read more

What would cause a white-ish, sort of tooth-shaped growth appearing suddenly on inside of mouth under tongue? It's hard but somewhat gummy. No pain.
Consult a dentist: It is highly recommended that you visit your dentist. There could be multiple issues that needs to be sorted out. First of, it is highly unlikely that you have an extra tooth poping out, due to your age and the location. But never the less, an x-ray would be the best option to get the required diagnosis and treatment Read more
Hello, doc I have had a strange oval shaped white mark in mouth and it can get painful at times. After further research I learnt it was what some referred to as a 'mouth ulcer'. Is there any way I can get rid of it as it has been there for two weeks?
Tonsil Regrowth: This is not seen very often and actually would indicate that the tonsil was not completely removed to start with. Most likely the residual tonsillar tissue has enlarged. It would be beneficial to have an ENT doctor take a look to confirm this is all that it is however. Read more
