Very unlikely.: The oral lesion is probably an unrelated aphthous ulcer. Http://emedicine. Medscape. Com/article/867080-overview.
No: The cause is unknown. As it tends to run in families, there may be a genetic or familial link. Some suspect an alteration in the immune response as many patient who have psoriasis also have a geographic tongue. To my knowledge, there has been no link to virus as the cause. For the past month I have been having outbreaks in my mouth around once a week with a little blister on my gum or sometimes tongue. Is this herpes?
Aphthous ulcers: These are likely aphthous ulcers. Vitamin B12 and folate (folic acid) deficiency, stress, menstrual period, NSAIDS, other drugs have been known to be associated with these little recurring ulcers. If one ulcer lasts longer than a week or so something else is going on. We sometimes prescribe a steroid paste to help the pain.

Rash, sore throat: Herpes is typically painful. Onset of HIV is more likely to have flu-like symptoms, but it does show up with all sorts of symptoms. Please see your doctor or health department for comprehensive STI testing and prevention, just as a general precaution. Your symptoms are probably due to something more common, could be strep. They are sometimes mistaken for canker sores (aphthous ulcers), which are not caused by a virus. See your dentist to be sure.
