PCP or ENT: I would start with your primary care doctor and have him/her examine you . This could be infection or inflammation in your mouth/tongue and could be treated with anti-inflammatory meds and perhaps antibiotics. If this is more serious your PCP will direct you to ENT. ...Read more

Wait for healing: A traumatic ulceration should begin healing after the cause is eliminated, in your case the sharp molar. Rinsing with salt water could speed the healing. If you don't see an improvement within a week you should return to your dentist for re-evaluation. ...Read more
