Food in stool: Boyfriend is likely seeing red from the tomato sauce and tomato bits that are in the stool. If it occurs when he is not having spaghetti sauce and tomatoes then he should see a doctor and check it out. If it is inside the stool then it is probably bleeding from the intestine. If blood is outside the stool and around it is likely from hemorrhoids. Ask pharmacist for card to test stool for blood. ...Read more

Post op: While not recommended to eat hot and spicy food the same day as an extraction, nothing terrible is going to happen from that. The dentist who treated you should have given you oral and/or written instructions and would be the best one to answer your questions.
