Should get evaulated: Being a 26 y/o female, it is likely that you have irritable bowel syndrome and with the frequent loose stools can cause significant anal/perianal irritation, at times bleeding from it. If you have been having symptoms for yrs, ibs is likley. If this is new, something else maybe causing your symptoms such as ulcerative colitis etc..I recommend consulting your doc for an eval. Likely: Try miralax (polyethylene glycol). It has no taste. Mix one capful in 4-8 oz of any non-carbonated beverage daily. It just draws water into your colon to really make your stool softer. Unrelated issues: Pain in your LUQ is not likely to be related to your hemorrhoids. if it is still persistent and or progressive, then you should get your self checked by a medical doctor. I'm not sure...: ... that this specific problem has ever been studied in detail. However, any open wound is susceptible to infection, and certainly there are a lot of bacteria present both in that area of the body and in public toilets.
