Prev complete PT for poss herniated disc. Having pain in r leg from thigh to toes w/tingling in back of r calf- is this poss related to disc isssue?

Pinched nerve: The pain could be residual irritation from the pinched nerve in the low back. Alternatively, a compressed peroneal nerve can cause this pain. The peroneal nerve runs on the outside of the knee (fibular head) and when inflamed causes pain in the calf and down to the toes. See a pain management physician for a nerve block or cortisone injection. Neuropathic medicine can help too. ...Read more

For the past few days, my left big toe has been tingling on and off. What could cause this?

Altered State.: The cause of the tingling is always the same. The electrical impulse moving along the nerve is being scrambled or disrupted. These altered or incomplete impulses are being felt as tingling. The most common cause of the tingling in the big toe, especially the medial side, is a developing bunion. Shoe pressure on the enlarging bone presses on the nerve and the altered impulse feels like tingling. ...Read more

I've been suffering feom calf pain for about1 year. Had several dopplers done which ruled out dvt. Still have calf pain, tingling toes. What is it?

Nerve pain: This sounds like nerve pain, especially with the tingling toes. The most common cause would be radiating symptoms from nerve irritation/compression in the lumbar spine. A nerve conduction study and a MRI of the lumbar spine would be a good start if you haven't already had these. Of course, a thorough history and repeat physical exam with a specialist should precede these tests. ...Read more
