It depends: Three days of no solid food is a long time if he just vomited once in the middle of a meal. Did he vomit more often than that? Is he drinking normally? If he vomited for a day, so you're on day 2 of no food, and he's been drinking and peeing normally, then it's probably a bug that he'll get over. If he is able to swallow liquids normally, I would not be too concerned about a foreign object unless he had access to a small battery that he may have swallowed. In that case he should be x rayed. Also if you suspect coin ingestion, xray to be sure it cleared esophagus. If he has persistent vomiting, of course you need to speak with his physician. ...Read more
