It forms correctly when the ball is sitting correctly in the "socket area" so the socket can develop correctly around it (this is not finished at birth yet). Lots of Reasons: When pregnant, there are so many things going on. Your hormones are very different causing your ligaments to stretch quite a bit especially in the pelvis resulting in pain. Also the baby's position can place stress on your spine resulting in bulging discs or even herniated disks causing the sciatica pain. I had an X-ray on my hip and my doctor says it is normal. Why does it grate and grind when i walk, and is very painfull. I do have osteoarthris.

Bursitis probably: If the xrays are negative, the pain and grating/grinding most likely is due to trochanteric bursitis. You may have osteoarthritis in other joints. Remember: It's not so much strengthening the joints but more so improving your flexibility at the respective joints and the surrouning musculature that supports the joints, that matters. You may want to undertake some resistance(weight) training program and a flexibility program(think yoga) to help with these issue.
