I had an X-ray on my hip and my doctor says it is normal. Why does it grate and grind when i walk, and is very painfull. I do have osteoarthris.
Bursitis probably: If the xrays are negative, the pain and grating/grinding most likely is due to trochanteric bursitis. You may have osteoarthritis in other joints. MDI: Sounds like you have a condition of generalized ligamentous laxuty that is causing your joints to 'pop and grind'.
