Took two Halcion .25 mg tablets for dental work. Currently on TriLoSprintec birth control, should I use a back up method? Does Halcion interact w/ bc?

Unlikely: A single dose of two Halcion 0.25 mg tablets is unlikely to expedite the metabolism of hormones that are in birth control pills and render the birth control pill ineffective. For your own peace of mind, however, you may want to consider using a back up method. ...Read more

I am taking oral cephalexin daily 4 times a day . Today I took Plan B pill (emergency contraceptive pill) is it bad to have those pills interact?

I am taking oral cephalexin daily 4 times a day . Today I took Plan B pill (emergency contraceptive pill) is it bad to have those pills interact?

"Double trouble"?: Taking these two pills together will make one of them ineffective due to selective gastric absorption. It will usually be the Plan B that doesn't get absorbed and then it fails to work with a doubling of your person with a child and undesired pregnancy. Separate the two pills by at least 2 hours when taking the Plan B. ...Read more

I take birth control pill on Sat @ 1am. Next pill taken is Sun @ 7am. Although more than 24hrs, is this still considered missed?

Probably not: If you usually take the pill at 7am but one day took it at 1 am, you are ok. If you usually take your pill at 1 am but one day didn't remember until 7am you are ok. Try to take the pill around the same time every day. If you forget, effectiveness is only lowered a few percentage points. Take the pill as soon as you remember. Take the next pill at the regular time. Best wishes! ...Read more

Took my bc pills as a form of Plan B (lo loestrin fe, 4 pills, 12 hours apart, pills m-th). How do I continue to take my birth control? Today is mon.

One per day: You should continue taking your pill one per day as you normally would. I am confused though. If you were already on birth control then there was no need to take Plan B or a form of emergency contraception. That is what birth control is for. Also you did not do the correct dose since you are on a 10 mg birth control pill. You underdosed. Its best to consult with a doctor before doing things alone. ...Read more
