Safer but Not Safe: Most ecigarettes and liquids used in nicotine vaporizers do NOT contain tobacco products. The Risk is in the Flavor used. FLAVORLESS nicotine liquid contains only two ingredients -- glycerin and nicotine. Tobacco contains over 4000 other compounds including over 70 well-known carcinogens. While nicotine alone may be relatively safe, the rest of tobacco smoke is definitely NOT. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Let me explain: Electronic cigarettes were first popularized as a safer way of nicotine intake. While electronic cigarette consumption is safer than having actual cigarettes filled with tobacco, they are not really a total safe option. Electronic cigarettes are found to contain an anti-freeze component known as diethylene glycol. It is toxic to humans and can cause health worries on inhalation. See the web below. ...Read more
Absolutely: One of the strongest risk factors for cardiovascular disease is smoking. It causes both the blood vessels to the heart as well as those to the rest of the body to become narrowed and diseased. Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do to extend your life. Chewing tobacco carries less of a risk than smoking, but studies show health risks with heart attacks as well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Yes: They still give you nicotine which has been proven harmful to oral health. OTOH, you get exposed less to other noxious ingredients in conventional cigarette smoke. This hasn't been well studied but my take is that they are bad but perhaps less bad than cigarettes. Of course this depends on the frequency and type of liquid nicotine you use. By far best to avoid nicotine altogether. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

It has less: But nobody really knows, since it can be mixed with other plant products, and each "batch" may be very different from another batch. In general, the organic products found in marijuana smoke are not as harmful as those found in tobacco, but in heavy marijuana smokers can still result in bronchitis and even cancer, especially if the person also smokes cigarettes. ...Read more
How and why does tobacco smoking negatively impact on the body and mental health of adolescents aged 12-18?
Addictive: Since many who start never stop, the younger they are the longer they'll be damaging all the cells in their body. Some cells are just not going to function as well w/ inflammation - some may begin a process toward malignancy. The circulatory system is also stressed. The clearest mental issues are the habit and any guilty feelings. It's expensive too! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
It doesn't: Some people think that pipe smokers are smart. They might be, but it has nothing to do with tobacco. Smoking tobacco does not make you smart. It kills you with cancer and heart disease. It is true that it can help you lose weight, but the risk is not worth it. Diet and exercise are a much better choice to make you smarter. ...Read more
No: Wonderful question. A lot of people with lower iq smoke because they don't realize the dangers of it. Quite a few people with high iq smoke because they believe they are immune having calculated their risks, or because they succumb to peer pressure, or have some weird other rationale. To my knowledge, there are no studies directly correlating smoking and iq. ...Read more

How probable is a heart attack in a young person with no risk factor but tobacco smoking and no family history of heart problems ?

Has anyone ever got smoking related cancer(lung, throat, oral, etc) from marijuana smoking and no tobacco smoking? I cant find any documented cases
No smoking gun: In individual patients, it is hard to pinpoint which carcinogenic exposure (if any) caused their cancer. Carcinogens usually don't leave a telltale sign on the cancer cell itself. We must then rely on statistical inferences from studies of large groups of people. Though less well studied than tobacco, studies estimate the risk of lung cancer is 2x higher in pot smokers. Car crashes also go up ~4x. ...Read more

I really want to know what stains my teeth more, hand rolling tobacco with filter (im smoking drum additive free), or factory made cigarettes?
Not Much Difference: Tobacco in all forms stains teeth. Smokeless tobacco is gritty so it might stain a little more but i haven't seen a huge difference between hand-rolled or factory cigarettes. I will say that staining is much worse in those that also are heavy coffee or tea drinkers because those also stain teeth. If you are going to smoke the fewer additive might have a slight advantage in causing other disaese. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
