Tmj Swollen Lymph Nodes
Last two months symptoms: tight/tingling shoulders, tight/tingling neck, headache (band type), swollen head. Tmj w/swollen lymph nodes for last 2 wks?
Can TMJ pain start at any time? Saw dds in apr. For exam had no problems. Now pain when opening mouth but also swollen lymph nodes in neck.
TMJ, forgot to wear my night guard. Woke up with headache, and painful swollen lymph node behind ear. Related to TMJ or is it all seperate?

Swollen nodes caused by infection or inflammation would be expected to go back to normal whereas those caused by cancer normally keep on growing (there are exceptions even to this, though). It depends on their: size. In general, they are bean shaped and feel firm but not hard. They may be tender to the touch. Lymph nodes that are cancerous tend to be fixed in one place, while "benign" nodes wiggle somewhat under the skin.
