What are some ways to help me get my energy back besides eating well because I do eat well, and how to help me get out of bed.

I'm 75 amd lately I feel sometimes like electricity is running thru my body and when this happens its hard for me to get out of bed?
How can I wake up faster? I have been struggling to get out of bed for the last 3-4 months. Moreover, I have had less energy during the day.

No matter how much I sleep, I could always sleep more. It's hard to get out of bed. I can sleep sometimes 12 hours before I finally get up. Help? : (
Sleep apnea: I strongly suggest to you to be checked by a sleep disorders physician. You need to have a sleep study and based on it. Advice: Get into contact with local government health and social services, as this could be a huge challenge to encounter by yourself. From doc on bedrest: I was on bedrest for several weeks and surprised how quickly the quad muscles of the thighs became weak. A physical therapist (rpt) at the hospital taught me this method: lie on my left side, push off the bed with my left arm at the same time I swung both legs gently over the side of the bed. Hypersomnia is just the medical terminology for a state of excessive sleepiness and is not a diagnostic term. If you get up too quickly you get a little unsteady or dizzy, especially after sitting a long time, or getting out of bed. Some guys make it to the bathroom then faint right there in mid-stream. May be the flu or other virus but if the "migraines" are new and you are that weak, you should see an md. Do you have fever and chills? Have you been exposed to anyone sick?
