Need to see a doctor: This could be either neck problem or possible carpal tunnel syndrome. You need to see a doctor to get a completely neurological examination. Did you ever had neck injury during sports or motor vehicle accident in the past? If you did, it is possible the numbness related to the neck injury. If you did not it is possible carpal tunnel. Does it become white and blue when it’s numb? Couple thoughts: Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health but, there's two broad categories of numbness. sick nerves like from diabetes, thyroid, etc. affects multiple areas, and the tips of longest nerves. Very unlikely. I --: Would be inclined to check you for a carpal tunnel syndrome, as that's a much commoner problem. It probably just coincidental that it started with going to the macy's. If there is no discoloration, then it not likely a vascular (due to blood vessel's problems). Is there pain with it? Have you ever had it before? See your pcp and get nerve conduction studies done. Use wrist brace regularly. ...Read more
