If your symptoms are severe and not abating, other infections should be considered. Bacterial vaginitis may not improve at all with monistat. Herpes can be very painful. It is normal: After the moistat dissolves some of it can come out when you are upright (via gravity). If it was in all night that should be long enough to get rid of the infection.
