Tiny White Bumps On Shoulder
I have these tiny white bumps on back and shoulders. It doesn't clear up with acne medication. Does anyone know what this is and how can I clear it up?
Milia or white heads: They may be "milia, " which are popularly known as "white heads" - small cysts which form within the walls of hair follicles. Formation of these may be promoted by the application of occlusive ointments or lotions to the skin. If these have not resolved with the use of over-the-counter acne medications, I would suggest seeing a dermatologist. ...Read more
I think I popped my shoulder whilst biking. I was just a tiny little bump. 3 months on I'm still feeling pain should it really take this long to heal?
3 months seems long: A shoulder injury from biking should be evaluated by a sports medicine doctor or an orthopedic doctor if the injury does not heal up quickly. Perhaps a ligament (holding 2 bones together) was damaged. Sometimes there is impingement, where a ligament or bone is pressing on another ligament or muscle. After initial treatment, physical therapy for a few weeks should help regain normal mobility. ...Read more

Bump on the neck: This might be an enlarged lymph node or a cystic structure associated with the skin or tissue just under the skin. If it is tender it may be a normal reactive lymph node or a sebaceous cyst. If it does not resolve she should see a doctor for evaluation. If it is a cystic structure her doctor can help you decide how to treat it. If it is an enlarged lymph node they may suggest an ultrasound. ...Read more
