Rash: Difficult to know without seeing it. 1 possibility is that it may be staph or strep on his chin, called impetigo with a more generalized rash that often accompanies it. See below: You can get tested anytime. If the result is positive, it is definitive. If the exposure was less than one year ago, you will need to be retested. At three months after exposure you could get an HIV nucleic acid and if that is negative, it would rule out HIV.
