Tiny Lump Attached To Tendon In Neck
Have a painless moveable lump in scalene muscle group area 1cm was touching it and it squashes down into a smaller lump only to grow back to same siz?
Get it checked out: This could be a lymph node, a lipoma (abnormal growth of fat) or depending on location may be a branchial cleft cyst. If its been there for more than a month or doesnt go away in a month you should have it checked out by your doctor, and possibly get an ultrasound or CT to look at its structure. ...Read more
Tiny hard knot in the side of my wrist. Not protruding, not growing, hard as a brick and stuck to the bone. Doesn't move. Will a brace help? Bone spur?
No: No, a brace would be unlikely to help with what you are describing. It could very well be a bone spur. I would not hesitate to be seen and evaluated for an accurate diagnosis. ...Read more

I have a painful lump under skin on bicep/ elbow. Hard lump not visible to the eye. Sends pain down arm?
Varies: There are a number of possibilities; from an enlarged lymph node, to a growth of a tumor or an infectious process among other possibilities. If it is red, painful, enlarging you should probably be seen immediately. If it is not, you could potentially moniter it and if it does not resolve over 4 weeks be seen. It is hard to say more without a direct examination. ...Read more

Ultrasound of a firm immovable lump in my forearm two inches below my wrist indcated a nonspecific soft tissue mass. Report states that is projects separately from adjacent median nerve and is not attached to tendon sheath. Very worried it is cancer?
Have it removed.: Really the best thing to do at this point would be to have the lump removed and sent to a lab for pathological analysis. This is not to say you have cancer by any means, but it's just to say that a definitive step to confirm or deny the presence of cancer must be taken at this point. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Holding neck straight upward, there is a small lump approx. 1 inch above collarbone directly on top of sternomastoid. Thyroid or jugular lymph node?
Just a guess: If it's very superficial, likely neither. If directly deep to the muscle, it's probably a lymph node (unless your thyroid is very large). Dozens of nodes are present in the neck, and it can be normal to be able to feel a few. If it's new, enlarging, over about 1cm, firm, or if you have a history of cancer or are simply just concerned, it is never inappropriate to see a doctor (ent, etc.). ...Read more
I have a red patch (kinda pimple like and swollen) at the base of my neck by the shoulder. Also, a small lump/bump (which is tender to touch) right where jaw meets the neck. Very small bump. Back of neck is sore too. Thanks. 35yr. Old male.?
I was rubbing neck because of a sore muscle and found a ball..little smaller then a pea one inch above collar bone toward jugular. movable n smooth.
Lymph node: What you felt is quite likely a lymph node. From the sound of it, it does not appear to be of concern. Many people have lymph nodes that they feel, and it does not mean anything cancerous. The fact that it can be moved around, and is smooth are all good signs. If you still are concerned, have your doctor do an exam. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
