BUBBLES NDER SKIN: The tiny bubbles you seem to have might be vesicles. This could be part of eczema. This may be a condition called dyshidrosis or pompholyx. Do you have athlete's foot? These itchy bubbles could be an allergy to the ringworm on your feet. Can't tell without seeing. Could be a contact dermatitis due to solvents, soaps, detergents. Some medications can cause it. Seeing=believing: I recommend you take a picture of the area in good lighting, set up a Virtual Consult and upload the pic to one of our HealthTap docs for a diagnosis. Chances are that we can recommend a treatment that doesn't require a prescription. Meanwhile, wash your hands with a gentle soap, rinse well in warm water, pat dry then apply a plain moisturizer. ...Read more

May be viral or fung: Could be a few things but what comes to mind is a low grade infection such as one that is caused from viral/fungal origin. Typically these are not invasive organisms but if recurrent wold worry about immune function. If you have not had testing for this, you should, as you are at higher risk for other conditions. ...Read more

Dyshidrosis: This is a condition known as dyshidrotic eczema and it is harmless yet annoying. Anti itch remedies including some allergy medications might help but also use thicker emollients (vaseline is thickest) and try to use creams rather than lotions that end up drying your skin. A two week treatment of 1% Hydrocortisone will also help. ...Read more

Blister: kind of hard to tell, did you have any trauma? are you a dentist and do dental exams using your fingers? is there any puss and erythema around the site? if its growing in size, see a practitioner to be evaluated. whatever you do don't pop it - you will likely cause a wound infection worse than you have. ...Read more

Hard to know: A physician will need to examine and know more about your history. The description does seem consistent with dyshidrotic eczema, but biopsy may be warranted to rule out more serious alternatives. Cold compresses may help while awaiting evaluation. ...Read more

Maybe herpes: Sounds like onset of herpes simplex infection. You'll know in a day or so--lesions will probably hurt more and itch less. If they stay itchy, possible fungal infection. For herpes, BHT (available on line or health food store) 2,000 mg per day (taken in divided doses). Lesions should clear up in a day or two. Another "home remedy" is to apply DMSO ("horse liniment") from a veterinary supply. ...Read more

What bugs leave itchy water blisters?

ALmost all of them: With injury to our skin, inflammation occurs which means the area becomes red, warm, tender and with swelling. Swelling occurs under the skin layers and causes them to bulge creating a protective fluid cushion called a blister. As the area heals, the fluid will be resorbed or when no longer needed, the blister opens and it drains. This should take about a week. Keep it covered and protected. ...Read more
