The medical term for them is condylomata accuminata and they are caused by certain subtypes of the human papilloma virus (HPV). Maybe: Sometimes the body will fight off the hpv virus and genital warts will disappear on their own. Sometimes this happens when one wart is treated or damaged, sometime it happens spontaneously.
