BV persisting: If the odor is due to bv, then the medication you took didn't work. Check with your doctor for follow up treatment. If there was a period of normal vaginal odor, and the smell returned, you have been reinfected. Again, see your doctor for follow up treatment. Possibly not: I couldn't find an online label to look at the ingredients, but some aloe vera gels contain alcohol which could burn your vagina. That could be what you felt. Lubricants like astroglide might be safer, and more pleasant to use. ...Read more
