Neurology consult: I'm not sure about the hot tingling sensation, but a heavy, paralyzed tongue that stays that way can be bulbar ALS, a very serious condition. Better see a neurologist, even though you are young and don't smoke. Anxiety can cause some really strange symptoms, as can electrolyte imbalances and vitamin deficiencies, but difficult to tell in this venue. MS is another concern. ...Read more

Antibiotic reaction: I don't think there is a specific reaction/side effect known of this kind with Doxycycline and lemons. However, if this is the first time you've taken doxycycline, you may actually be having a reaction to the medication.
